WEDNESDAY EVENINGS (starting at 7 p.m.) - FULL REGULAR SHOOTER
AIM-COMM and the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) Hunter Education Indoor Shooting Range (HEDR), in Fairbanks, Alaska, work cooperatively to host and conduct the AIM-COMM Precision "Bullseye" Pistol Shooting Leagues. The League Shooting program is great for shooters of all skill levels, ages 10 and older. The course of fire is NRA Conventional Indoor Bullseye (Precision) Pistol, that includes firing slow, timed, and rapid-fire, all off-hand at a target placed 50-feet from the shooter. You may register as a Full REGULAR Shooter ($175) OR an ALTERNATE Shooter ($75). Alternates shoot when needed and/or when space is available while Full Regular Shooters are able to shoot each practice, all matches and tournaments within the league session.

This NRA FIRST STEPS PISTOL class is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to a specific pistol platform. This four-hour class is ideal for beginners, new purchasers and those contemplating a purchase of a pistol. This training provides beginning shooters with an introduction to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to own and use a pistol safely. This class is ideal for all and especially for families, couples, women, youth (10 and older), and groups!
This course includes classroom and live-fire range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type. We are able to cover revolvers and semi-automatic pistols as well as different types of sighting systems. We focus on the needs of the students in the class. Students will learn the NRA rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and NRA FIRST STEPS PISTOL Course completion certificate.

This NRA RIFLE INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP is the complete series of courses and training necessary to become certified as an NRA Rifle Instructor. This workshop is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, April 14-16, 2023, at the Fish and Game Indoor Shooting Range in Fairbanks, Alaska. This workshop teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, promoting and teaching NRA’s Basic Rifle Shooting course.

This Instructor level training is performance based and requires the candidate already possess basic knowledge and skills related to firearms safety and shooting. An Instructor candidate must adequately demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude in order to pass. Paying and attending is not a guarantee of passing this course.
This course includes classroom lecture and practicals, and live-fire exercises. Instructor Candidates participating will need to demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course and complete an instructor certification exam. Candidates will receive the NRA Trainer's Guide, NRA Rifle Shooting Instructor Candidate Packet and NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course Student Packet. Candidates successfully completing this course will receive certification from the NRA upon completing the course and processing their credentialing (fee, separate from the course tuition applies) with the NRA.

This course teaches beginning reloaders - or those interested in reloading - the basic Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude necessary to safely reload metallic cartridges.
This full-day class is not a live-fire course; no shooting is involved and no firearms are permitted in the classroom for reloading classes. Each student is taught reloading safety; centerfire cartridge components; using the reloading manual and reloading data; equipment; and the metallic cartridge reloading process. Students receive the NRA Guide to Reloading handbook, the Basic Reloading Student Exam, a course completion certificate, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure.

This class meets the requirements to obtain a State of Alaska Concealed Handgun Permit. After successfully completing the class, the student will leave with the required paperwork (completed, and ready to deliver, with the addition of the separate fee required by the state), to obtain their Alaska Concealed Handgun Permit. All class materials are provided, including the use of firearms and ammunition to complete the live-fire qualification. Option for discount available at time of registration for active duty military and seniors, ages 60 and older.
Please note, application to the State of Alaska for an Alaska Concealed Handgun Permit requires the applicant be an Alaska Resident for at least 90 days immediately preceding application and the applicant must have an Alaska driver's license or identification card (issued from the Department of Motor Vehicles).
