Fairbanks, Alaska -

GLOCK, INC. representatives are slated to be on hand on Saturday, May 4, 2024, for the first-ever Alaska GSSF Indoor League Match, hosted at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game Indoor Shooting Range in Fairbanks in partnership with the Alaska Interior Marksmanship Committee (AIM-COMM). The GLOCK representatives plan to be on hand to answer questions, conduct GLOCK Certified Armorer inspections of GLOCK pistols, and may have with them some GLOCK "Goodies" to give away. Competitors are encouraged to plan on shooting the match with their own GLOCK pistol(s) but there may be opportunity to try out some of the GLOCK model guns brought to the event by the GLOCK representatives.

We appreciate GLOCK's support of the Fairbanks Fish and Game Indoor Range and AIM-COMM and look forward to Alaska's first-ever GSSF Indoor League! Learn more at the GSSF page at aimcomm.org.

GSSF includes a community of GLOCK shooters and enthusiasts ranging in ages and levels of experience from new shooters to experienced. Competitions across the United States provide opportunities for shooters of all skill levels and experience to compete together in simple, but challenging courses of fire.

The National Rifle Association of America was originally formed in 1871 in an effort to promote and encourage marksmanship. The NRA has, since its inception, been the premier firearms education organization in the world. In civilian training, the NRA continues to be the leader in firearms education. Over 125,000 certified instructors now train about 1,000,000 gun owners a year. Courses are available in basic rifle, pistol, shotgun, muzzleloading firearms, personal protection, even ammunition reloading. Additionally, nearly 7,000 certified coaches are specially trained to work with young competitive shooters. Since the establishment of the lifesaving Eddie Eagle GunSafe® Program in 1988, more than 28 million pre-kindergarten to fourth grade children have learned that if they see a firearm in an unsupervised situation, they should "STOP. DON'T TOUCH. RUN AWAY. TELL A GROWNUP." In recent years, Refuse To Be A Victim® seminars have helped more than 100,000 men and women develop their own personal safety plan using common sense strategies.
