What is AIM-COMM?

AIM-COMM is the Alaska Interior Marksmanship Committee, a volunteer-based 501 (c)(3) nonprofit partner organization to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) Hunter Education Indoor Shooting Range (HEDR) in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Our Purpose

AIM-COMM's purpose is to foster the development of marksmanship, the safe and ethical use of firearms and to support and promote use of the Alaska Department of Fish & Game Hunter Education Indoor Shooting Range.

Who we Are

AIM-COMM is a community organization of friendly and dedicated Alaskans working together to foster the safe and responsible participation in hunting and the shooting sports and to help preserve and promote our heritage of hunting, shooting, and wildlife conservation.

AIM-COMM was founded in 2000 and officially chartered in 2003 as a representative partner organization of the primary user groups of the then newly constructed and opened (in 2000) Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) Hunter Education Indoor Shooting Range (HEDR) in Fairbanks, Alaska. AIM-COMM is Alaska’s first NRA Gold Medal Club and was recognized as the NRA National Club (Organization) of the Year, for 2018.

A volunteer Board of Directors of voting members oversees AIM-COMM. Officers on the Board of Directors conduct much of the organizational business and are responsible for general administration and leadership of the organization. Volunteers coordinate and assist with our programs, classes, and events.
