ALASKA CONCEALED HANDGUN PERMIT CLASS

DESCRIPTION: This class meets the requirements to obtain a State of Alaska Concealed Handgun Permit (ACHP). After successfully completing the class, the student will leave with the required paperwork including finger prints and photograph (completed, and ready to deliver, with the addition of the fee required by the state), to obtain their Alaska Concealed Handgun Permit. All class materials are provided, including the use of firearms and ammunition to complete the live-fire qualification.

WHO MAY ATTEND: Adults, 21 years of age or older, who may legally possess a handgun in the state of Alaska may attend. We hold classes for families, as well as women only, and co-ed. If you are a group of friends or are employees of a company that would like to enroll as a group, we can do that - contact us for information. In some cases, we can customize the hours of the class to meet your needs.

INSTRUCTOR: The lead instructor for this class is Laura Berkowitz (Alaska Firearms Instruction). Laura is an NRA certified instructor and certified by the State of Alaska to teach this course. A certified law enforcement officer conducts the law portion of the class. *

FEE: $175 (For active duty military and seniors, $165.)

* The Alaska Concealed Handgun Permit class is not an NRA certified class; it is a program with specific requirements administered by the State of Alaska.

This class is offered in association with AIM-COMM, the Alaska Interior Marksmanship Committee, a non-profit 401(C)(3) corporation. AIM-COMM’s purpose is to foster the development of marksmanship, the safe and ethical use of firearms and to support and promote use of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game Hunter Education Indoor Shooting Range, in Fairbanks, Alaska.
