AIM-COMM LogoAIM-COMM is the Alaska Interior Marksmanship Committee.

We are an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, partner organization of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) Hunter Education Indoor Shooting Range (HEDR) in Fairbanks, Alaska.

AIM-COMM's purpose is to foster the development of marksmanship, the safe and ethical use of firearms and to support and promote use of the Alaska Department of Fish & Game Hunter Education Indoor Shooting Range.

AIM-COMM is affiliated with the National Rifle Association (NRA), the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), and the Alaska Outdoor Council (AOC). AIM-COMM is Alaska's first NRA Gold Medal Club.

AIM-COMM was founded in 2000 and officially chartered in 2003.

A Board of Directors of voting members oversees the organization. Officers on the Board of Directors include a President, Vice-President, Second Vice-President, Executive Secretary, and an Executive Treasurer. An ADF&G Advisor serves in a non-voting, ex officio capacity. Other community members help the organization by serving as non-voting members as well as Program Coordinators and committee Chairs.

AIM-COMM has six primary Divisions and several well-established Programs. AIM-COMM Divisions include:

  • Competitive Shooting
  • Firearms Instruction
  • Hunter Education
  • Law Enforcement
  • Public Shooting, and
  • Youth Shooting Sports.

A Chair and Vice-Chair represent each Division and serve on the Board of Directors.

AIM-COMM Programs include:

  • Alaska NRA Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC)
  • Alaska Women of Caliber (AWOC)
  • Bullseye Pistol Shooting Leagues
  • Law Enforcement Firearms and Shooting Training (LAW-FAST)
  • Tactical and Practical Shooting (TAPS) - United States Practical Pistol Shooting (USPSA)
  • and more!

AIM-COMM is a community organization of many friendly, dedicated, Alaskans working together to foster the safe and responsible participation in hunting and the shooting sports and to help preserve and promote our heritage of hunting, shooting, and wildlife conservation.
